Austenite stainless steel forgings have no allotropic crystal transformation during heating, and the heating temperature is too high for the grains to grow; in addition, the α phase in the duplex stainless steel increases. After the heating temperature exceeds 1200°C, the number increases rapidly. Therefore, the initial forging temperature of austenitic stainless steel forgings should not exceed 1200 °C.
The final forging temperature of austenitic stainless steel forgings should be higher than the sensitizing temperature. The final forging temperature of this kind of steel is low, and the deformation resistance is relatively large. During the slow cooling in the range of 700-900° C., the σ phase will precipitate, and it will be easy to crack during forging. The final forging temperature is usually 900° C.
Austenitic stainless steel forgings, if carburized, will cause the formation of chromium carbides, which make the austenite grain boundary lean to chromium and reduce its intergranular corrosion resistance. Therefore, such steels should avoid contact with carbon when heating and must not be used for reducing. Atmosphere; After the forging, the temperature should be quickly passed through Minhua to prevent the precipitated carbides from dissolving into the austenite and solution treatment should be performed.
