Description

1.4000 X6Cr13 Cold Rolled Ferritic Stainless Steel Narrow Strip

Specifications and application

X6Cr13 is low-carbon chromium ferritic grade used most often in the oil and coke industries in the form of sheets, rods and strips.

Steel shows resistance to steam, alkaline solutions, acids such as - nitric acid, formic acid, oxalic acid, salts - nitrates, nitrites, carbonates, as well as hot fumes of petroleum, fuels, alcohols, ethers, food products, lubricants, water and oils.

In the case of acids and salts, it should be borne in mind that the X6Cr13 resistance is sufficient at low concentrations of solutions and at low temperatures.

The material is used for the production of rectification columns, cracking pipes, heat exchangers, parts of machinery and equipment in the food industry, and linings of pressure vessels. The steel does not show resistance to intergranular corrosion before and after welding.
